FAN Y BIG

Brecon Beacons

THE WALK:

This is a ten mile circular walk which follows the ridge of one of the Beacons best loved mountains Fan Y Big which is famed for it's diving board rock which sits near the trig point and gives one of the most breath taking views in the National Park. Terrain covered includes farmland, hilltop tracks and open moorland.

 

FACILITIES:

There is a pub in the nearby village of Llanfrynach. There are no other facilities along the route.

 

WILDLIFE:

This area of the Beacons is home to many common varieties of birds, wildflowers, mosses and fungi.

 

 

OUR TIPS...

The ground can be wet underfoot in places. Hiking boots are recommended.
